March 20-22 Auto Club Speedway
Fontana, CA
Round two of the Season proved to be a very good event for us in terms of organization, appearance and solid results. David qualified 11th, just missing the time needed for Superpole by .07th of a second, and Hawk qualified 17th after struggling with a suspension change. This is the first of the double header weekends for the AMA, so that meant we were plenty busy getting everything ready for each session and the crazy weather didn’t help with extreme winds and rain in the forecast all weekend. Our bikes look good with the final design laid out and presence is definitely being made known.
Race one saw Dave battle it out with Ben Bostrom and Taylor Knapp all throughout the race ending in an 8th place finish in front of Knapp and on the back tire of Factory Yamaha, proving that we can run with the big boys. Hawk ran a good race finishing ahead of Jordan Suzuki’s Aaron Yates and on the tail end of a race long battle for 11th and 12th place falling in at 14th in the end. This race pumped up the boys and positive energy was flowing going into Sunday’s race two. The wind proved to be difficult, but in the end Dave pulled off his second top ten finish in 8th place dueling with Yamaha’s Josh Hayes and beating out Team Jordan’s Aaron Yates and factory Suzuki’s Blake young! We watched as Hawk went back and forth with Scotty Jenson and former Champion Aaron Gobert throughout the entire race finishing in the 13th position for the final.

We move forward to the next round sitting good in the points and gaining steam for round 3. For now, it’s back to the shop and hard at work in preparation for a good showing.
